• Export feature didn’t do anything, just sat there at ‘Starting process 0%’. Small site with Buddypress installed and 10 or so users.

    @mozboz,

    Sorry for your experience but you have not asked in the forum first. We are here to help you, one star review without asking first is a bit unfair for us.

    We can help you. It seems that some error raise when you launch the export and it stops.

    Could you check in your log the error? If you activate the wp-debug constant, you can also check this in your console tab in your browser.

    We are waiting to check the error and fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Broken user experience OOTB isn’t something I’m motivated to contact you about. If there’s a backend error and the UI just hangs when I’ve just installed the plugin and am doing the most basic thing that the plugin is for then I’m not going to start debugging that – the plugin is broken.

    I uninstalled it and used LH Buddypress Export Xprofile Data plugin which did what I want first time.

    @mozboz,

    I understand you and I tell you thanks because I have to improve it (if there is an error in the AJAX, do not stop the process and inform the user).

    Anyway, with this kind of free projects (dozens, maybe of hours for free, for the community) we expect our users have a bit of patience, ask for the error, we fix it, and all win.

    If all reviews and users has this attitude this and many other plugins and projects won’t never gone so far.

    @mozboz,

    Solved, now if a error raise, instead of showing in the console, it is shown in a alert box to inform the user.

    In version 1.18.2.3 it is done.

    We use the same JS as WooCommerce do for this, so you mark us with 1 star because:

    Broken user experience OOTB isn’t something I’m motivated to contact you about.

    Hope you consider Woo is not a 1 star software because this is really great althogh it does as we did before: show a message in the console and break your user experience.
