In tools, export settings, I’m getting a error notice php. Testted on old installs as well as a brand new install with default settings. Make sure that error notices are displaying.

This error is a result of poor code. Please fix.

    Hello Lindenism,

Thanks for reaching out regarding the Import & Export tool of the plugin.

Did you receive the error because you wanted to export settings?
Can you confirm what version of WordPress you have?
Are all non-Yoast plugins and your theme updated?

We look forward to hearing from you.

    1. Did you receive the error because you wanted to export settings?: YES
    2. Are all non-Yoast plugins and your theme updated? TESTED ON NEW INSTALL WITH NO OTHER PLUGINS
    3. Latest version of wordpress – Latest version 5.9.3

Could it be the PHP version?

Thanks for following up. Are you running PHP 8? Unfortunately, we haven’t yet fully tested the plugin with PHP version 8. The entire WordPress community is still working on it. You can read the https://developer.yoast.com/blog/the-2020-wordpress-and-php-8-compatibility-report/.

For Yoast SEO to run properly, you should have a PHP version of 5.6.20 or higher. In fact, we recommend PHP version 7.3 or above. Before you upgrade to a higher PHP version, check if your WordPress site is ready for it. Read this helpful article to learn how to update your PHP version. Also, your PHP memory should be 256M or greater.

Like I said, a brand new install.

Ensure you have turned on PHP errors

PHP version 7.2.34 (Supports 64bit values)

    Hi,

We used a fresh copy of Yoast SEO 18.6 and in the Tool > Export settings on a default site, we were unable to replicate these error notices.

Could you try reinstalling a fresh copy of Yoast SEO 18.6 and see if you can replicate the issue? Otherwise, please do create a new issue on GitHub by following the steps here – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/
