• Hi Ash,

I demo’d the invoice system this morning on the multisite to my co workers and the end client. They loved it, and it worked perfect. Installing this as the only plugin to have installed on a multisite template does the job quite superbly.

I was asked how the end user can export the invoices so that they can give these to their accountant. I couldn’t seem to find a way to do this. Is this something that is in the system, but just cannot see where it is?

If not, is there a way to do this?

    Hey Ciaran,

Very interesting concept. Never thought about it to be honest with you. As mentioned throughout the build, Invoice King Pro was built initial as a way for freelancers to invoice for their jobs. It was never anything complex, which answers why this isn’t part of the system today.

With that said, the plugin is growing quite quickly and is beginning to be used for more complex solutions, yours as an example.

As mentioned in the other thread, I’m currently working on a major upgrade, which also includes purchasable add-ons for additional functionality. I have a number of add-ons on my list that I will be building, one of which would partly do what your after, but not exactly. I will keep your need in mind when I’m building that.

As you know, my workload at the moment is quite full so I wouldn’t expect a solution for your need to be available anytime soon, however I will push it up the list in priority.

(Great to hear the plugin got raving reviews ?? )

    Hi Ash,

Again, thank you for responding to the query.

I think it is a viable model to have paid plugins, and it is actually something I am developing at the moment for something else. A free starting point with paid modules to simply bolt on.

If you are open to having some extra help through Git, I could possibly fund one of my developers to look into some of the features I am looking for. This might assist get some things done, and free you up a little bit.

    Ciaran,

Cheers for the offer, however this “King Pro Plugin” project stemmed from getting my name out there as a developer. So to hold that authenticity, I’d like to keep it my own work as much as possible.

With that said, I have had people submit snippets of code that I have tweaked and released in updates, so feel free to do that if you would like.

    Thanks again

    Hey Ciaran,

I’ve been thinking about this export functionality and it occurred to me that I don’t know what i’m exporting as or to? Would you be able to shed some further light on what you require for this so I can work toward it with a generic version of what your after?

    Hi Ash,

I think it would be good to be able to export to an excel spreadsheet type format. That way the end user has the option to open this in their spreadsheet and send to their accountant.

    Thanks for thinking of this.

    Hey Ciaran,

CSV format would be the most universal, I agree. I start off with that and build on it from there. I’ll keep you posted.

    Cheers

Thanks Ash, take your time. No hurry on that feature, but it was something that was asked about. I simply replied it will be done when it is done. Much appreciated though.

    Hi,

Any updated on this functionality. Since we can’t see reports, atleast by exporting to a CSV, we should be able to see list of paid, unpaid invoices.

    cheers

    maverickvarun,

Not as yet, but it is on the list of things to be released.
