I’m building a new site for a pro organization with about 3000 members. There are a few extra variables in their accounts (Name of School, District, etc) that I’ve figured out adding (Form fields) via manual registration. Is there a way I can export users with this data to a CSV, so as to import the 3000 members to the site? That way, the Member Directory search feature can function for all of the users.

If this is not possible, let’s say I use the CIMY User Manager plugin to import said users CSV. Is there a way I can I go through manually to each user’s account from the dashboard and add the extra info? I do not see any way as an Admin that I can edit info from the dashboard, just my own account via the login/account system on the site. The end game is that open registration is not allowed and users pay an outside org to join, then are added manually. Users being able to search each other via the member directory is a huge plus to this plugin, and if these other features I’m looking for here are possible, I’m really in business. Willing to pay a reasonable fee for custom coding if that is an option. Thanks.

  • Hi Derek,

Have you tried WPAllImport? I use WPAllImport, WPAllExport and the User Addon with Ultimate Member for member extraction.

Hey, Steven. Thanks for the reply. I’m on the All Import site and the add-on seems pretty cut and dry. There is another client I could possibly use this for on the reg, so the pro version could be worth it.

I signed up for a test account with All Import. I spent some trial and error time creating an export and import, but the UM extra fields did not import back in. Any guess as to what happened there? I’ll seek help from the plugin authors as well, just wondering if you had anything off the top of your head. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, I couldn’t get all the information out. I had planned on coming back to it at some point but was too busy at the time. Please let me know if you find anything out from the plugin authors.

I do know for a fact that I was able to successfully extract all general user data. ??
