Export/Import settings location

  • Hi,

    I m using a script to backup files & db that allow me to change the fqdn as well in case I want to create a copy of the website under a new fqdn like https://www.domain.name to uat.domain.name.

    When I do this, I apparently do not bring “Customize” settings from one environment to another.

    Where can I find the data on my wordpress setup ?
    Is it a file ?
    Is it a db value ?
    Something else ?

    My main purpose is to make the settings portable from one website to another.

  • The Customizer settings are stored in the database, in the options table. This plugin exports the settings to a file for you to put wherever you want. It doesn’t store it anywhere.
