Export/Import from Easy Content Types to Pods

    Hi,
    I used Easy Content Types for years. It is defunct now and I have been using Pods for a few new projects, so have some experience with it. Now I need to convert all of my sites that use Easy Content Types CPTs and taxonomies to Pods. I plan on purchasing Pro versions of WP All Import and WP All Export. I tested the free versions and realize that the Pro versions are needed to import the images and custom fields.

    Okay, here’s my question. On the site I am currently working on I have 3 CPTs and two taxonomies that were set up in Easy Content Types. I assume I need to set up these CPTs and taxonomies ahead of time in Pods, but do I need to set up the custom fields or will those fields be automatically created when I do the import?

    Hello @kallym

    Yes, you’ll also need to add the fields.
    However, keep in mind that you might not need WP All Import as such fields are all stored as metadata. If the metadata isn’t too complex there is a high chance that Pods will recognize the existing field data and can work with it.
    Just disable Easy Content Types and replicate the CPT with Pods.
