Export Frozen

So I changed the perms of the wp-content directory from 755 to 775 and now it goes straight to this error message “Unable to retrieve status of the export. Is your server running?” Arghhh

Any follow up on the problem? I am trying to use the great migration tool I read so much about online but it only creates an archive and then does nothing…

I absolutely love this tool.

It’s working perfectly on my local installations, but only on certain remote sites it sit there with “Done creating empty directory.”

Is there a fix for premium support users? If there is, I’d gladly fork over the money for it…

Using version 2.0.5 sometimes works for me. Just make sure you have 2.0.5 on both import/export sites.

Same problem, exporting to file. Seem to start with upgrade to 3.4.

Just reverted to version 3.3. Problem went away.

As suggested by gregfuller, I downgraded to the version 3.3 and all is ok now.

Then try 3.6! None of the 3.x versions have worked for me so far for months now but this one finally does!

Using the 4.3 version gives the hanging unpack wheel. New export makes bigger file than before (396mb instead of 225mb or so). If only it worked, it would be a great tool!
(Also tried older 2.0.5 version, no succes).

I am getting the same frozen screen, i am using heartinternet, i have tried changing the permisions and it makes no difference

Adding my me too. I installed 4.3 yesterday and used it to export one of my blogs. It was pretty slow, but it was flawless.

I installed the same version of the plugin on another blog and the export is stuck at “Done creating an empty archive”.

I see where the plug-in created a file under /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/0w2gyuwb2ljz# with today’s date and a .wpress extension, so I don’t believe permissions are an issue here.

Both blogs are running wordpress 4.3.1 so it can’t be that. And both of these blogs are hosted on my own server (no AWS, hosting company, etc.).

This is very frustrating considering that I forked over the cash for the unlimited option.

I verified permissions and even restarted my server and it still didn’t work ??
