export events to new site

Hi,
I have the events calendar on my current site. I am working on a new site in a subdirectory (new install of wordpress in that subdirectory). Once complete I will make this new install run the site (making it look like it is running in the root). I am installing the events calendar plugin in my new site installed in the subdirectory. Is there anyway to take the events listed in the current install and export them to the plugin I install in the subdirectory install? This way when I am done with the new site in the subdirectory I will still have all my events? Hopefully this makes sense.
