    Hello @vmarko ! I hope you’re doing well.

I’m trying to export my configuration from the settings Import/Export, but I have a “503 Backend fetch failed” message… Do you know where it can come from?

And, I’m not using it, but I’ve seen that the “configuration guide” is not working -> “Could not update configuration. Please reload the page to try again or click skip button to abort the setup guide.” It stops after the cache test.

    Cheers!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @matthftw

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
As for the Configuration guide, you should check the console errors and see, if once the guide is initiated, you are getting some ajax 404 errors. This is most likely related to the export configuration also.
You can backup the wp-content/w3tc-confin/master.php file which contains the W3 Total Cache configuration instead.
    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!

    Hi again @vmarko !
I think I have one error in the console. How can I share it to you?

    Hello @matthftw

Sorry for the confusion. I meant that once you inspect the page and reload it, you should check the network tab just after the guide is initiated if there are 404 ajax responses showing. Those should be at the bottom of the list under “Name”

You can take a screenshot and share it with https://imgur.com/

    Thanks!

    Hey @vmarko !
I’m sorry, I think that’s not what you expected: https://imgur.com/a/vvKauWe

Tell me if it’s ok or I have to check it again!

    Hello @matthftw

Yes, this is showing exactly what I suggested.
503 Service Unavailable server error response code indicates that the server is not ready to handle the request. Once the Guide is initiated, W3TC sends an ajax request, and as you can see the server is not processing the request for some reason.
There is a chance that some other plugin or security plugin is blocking the request so you may try to disable the plugins one by one and see if there is any kind of conflict.
    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!

Awww Damn I see, it can be wordfence or wp hide.
    Thanks, I will try that!

Apparently it’s not coming from Wordfence and the firewall. It could be WP Hide but I can’t disable it or it would break everything :/

    Hello @matthftw

    Thank you for yoru feedback.
I’ve checked the WP Hide plugin and as I can see, it could cause problems with what you are describing.
The Setup wizard is for new users. Testing the various settings like Page Cache, Object Cache, etc, and available caching methods.
If you cannot afford to disable the mentioned plugin for testing, let me know if you have any questions about the configuration and settings.
You can also check out our documentation here.

    Thanks!
