Export and Import MySQL

  • My wordpress is hosted on a server which i have access to, i’m planning to move to a new server, is it possible for me to export the MYSQL that my wordpress is using from my previous server and import it on a new server? My previous server is CPANEL but my new server will be lxAdmin. Is it still possible for me to do a fresh install of wordpress on the new server and use the imported database and see all my entries intact? I had an experience on exporting the XML file but there’s a problem, all my tags are gone and the numbers of my entries are different already. hope anybody could help.. thank you..
