I’ve purchased both the export and import add ons. I was expecting that i could export the listings on one domain and then import them on another. I’ve tried both csv and xml formats. When i come to import it reports missing title for all records. Can you advise how i can do this as i’ve found no documentation or reported issues that cover this. I hope i haven’t misinterpreted the purpose of these add ons, it seems a perfectly logical requirement. Also, where should i be looking for the xml and csv files output from the export add on, they don’t appear in my downloads folder either on my server or my computer, what name should i expect to see? Thanks

Hi, i would like a reply to this asap please, i’ve purchased the plugins and would like to be able to use them. thanks.

When i used the import today i decided to try mapping the listing title field, it was the only mapping available i.e. i could only select one csv field. The result has been to create a new listing for all paragraphs in each listing. So i now have 55 non-senselistings instead of the 11 i started with. Help!

    Where is my support?

3 weeks since i purchased this and no response to my posts here and i’ve even emailed you. This is appalling i would be ashamed and embarrassed if i provided this lack of service (i.e. none!) to my clients! Please reply or refund my purchases.

@webjoy: I appologize for the delay in getting back to you. I am not sure if you were the user who we replied to directly via email or not.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with our export add-on. The Export addon was created to allow users to generate various types of reports. If you intend to export your current directly listings into a different website site, the best way to do this is to use the built-in WordPress export and importer.

To do this go to your Dashboard and navigate to:

    Dashboard >> Tools >> Export

Next select “Directory Listings” under the “Choose what to export” list.

After this you should be able to just import the generated xml file to your new site.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved as it’s been some time since we’ve heard back from you. Since you were trying to use the Reports plugin as a migration tool for your directory (which is not the purpose for that add-on), please contact us via email if you need a refund.

Thanks for this. I understand your response. It would be good if you could provide an export and import function at some point in the way which would make it easy to export/import the directory. Meanwhile i don’t want a refund but thanks for the offer.
I was annoyed by your lack of a timely response i trust that this is an unusual time frame i.e. 3 weeks. I’m happy for you to close this at this time.
