I have a large number of orders where the customer information has been deleted e.g. email address.

I do still have those email addresses from payment portals (eg. Paypal).
I am using a new product review tool (Cusrev) which integrates with Woocommerce orders with the ability to send reminders for old orders to customers for them to leave a review and subsequently it will send an email with a discount coupon.

Is it possible to export my Woocommerce database, edit the information back in (i.e. the email addresses) and then import the database so I can restore the details needed for the Cusrev tool to do its thing?

    Hello @defin1eye,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I understand the email column in your user’s database was deleted, correct?

Does your hosting provider perform routine backups? If so, you can ask them to restore your site before the deletion.

I personally have Jetpack installed on all my test sites, it records most of my activity on the site so if something goes wrong upon updating or publishing a new page, I simply revert to the point before said activity. It also integrates perfectly with WooCommerce so you don’t need to worry about orders or products being deleted in the process.

For more information on Jetpack and its features, kindly check out this guide: https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/

You might also want to explore the Import Export Suite for WooCommerce extension, which allows you to import customer emails in bulk. However, this is dependent on whether the customer ID is also sent to your payment gateway, allowing you to match it with the email.

All extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

    Hope this helps!
