export all entires and comments

phpMyAdmin works wonders. Pretty easy to install and set up, in fact many ISPs include it pre-installed.
Check with them.

There are also some back up hacks or plug ins. I think the One Click Back Up is pretty popular, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet…

yes I have that, but never used it, it looks kind of daunting. I was hoping it was as simple as the option in MT. That was pretty easy when I wanted to convert from MT to WP.
