Expiry date error in email

In the confirmation e-mail the following error occurs:
Notice: Undefined variable: expiry_date in /www/htdocs/nbroodz/wp-content/plugins/gift-cards-for-woocommerce/admin/giftcard-functions.php on line 145
It occurs both when there is no expiry date filled in as well as a valid expiry date.
What can be the problem?
