• I have initially installed and tested SWPM on a local PC. I enabled expired members to login so they can renew their membership. I have created a renewal page. This worked. When an expired logged in member visited a protected page, he was prompted to renew by a message. When he clicked the renewal link in the message, he was directed to the renewal page. So this was as expected.

Now I have reconstruct the site online. The setup of the live site is the same as what I did in the local setup. The renewal page is different and so is the url of the renew page. This renewal page url is entered in the Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Membership Renewal URL field. When a logged in expired-member visited a protected page, he was prompted by a message to renew. When he clicked the renew link in the message, he was directed to a renewal page from the local setup. I checked the url and it was the page from the local machine. SWPM did not take the url from the current site setup. That happened even after I shut down the local machine.

    Please help and thank.

    Hi mbrsolution,
While I am waiting for developer’s response. I am digging a bit more. I check the Inspector on Firefox and find this line:

    <div class=”swpm-custom-expired-msg”>您的帳戶已過期。 請續簽您的帳戶, 之後您便可訪問此內容。</div>

The href points to the local renewal page which is the wrong page. I have been search to locate this class “swpm-custom-expired-msg”, but cannot find it. Can you direct me to where this class is located? Thanks.

    Hi,

Did you copy and paste any content from your local install to your live site? This is the only way the wrong URL can exist in your live site.

    Kind regards

Hi, your best option is to recreate the culprit pages and carry out a test.

Let me know how you go.

    Thank you

    Hi mbrsolution,
I finally get around to set up a new renewal page in my staging site. I put the new page url in the Setting Membership Renewal URL. The renewal link in the message “Your account has expired。 Please renew your membership, then you can view the content。” still did not work. Result wass the same as before.

Hi, unfortunately there is not much more I can do for you from my end. I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue.

    Thank you

If it is simpler just to remove the renewal link in the message, it would be better than showing the Bad Request 404 message. I can try to put my hands in it, if there are some instructions.

Its been 3 weeks now. I have not heard from any developers yet. Can mbrsolution follow up on this please. Much appreciated.
