I can’t edit my reviews on WP.org?

  • I just learned that I can’t ever edit or change any reviews I put on this site. I looked at a few support articles and it’s clear that everything on this site is permanent. Why? Also, what is the edit your review link for? I can’t edit anything. Sometimes a plugin or theme changes for the better. WP is worse than Yelp! At least on yelp I can delete/edit/change reviews (I deleted everything off yelp/google bc reviews suck. I want my reviews off of here too). How do I delete or change my reviews?

    That’s not true. YOU currenly cannot edit reviews because your account is flagged for “modwatch”. The first time you were flagged was for the use of profanity, so using “suck” in your topic here is probably not a good way to get the flag removed.

    However, there’s been nothing untoward for a couple of years, so it’s time for the flag to be gone. (THERE! Gone!) You can now edit old reviews.

    We will not remove old content, but you can request that your account here be terminated and your old content anonymized: Simply follow the instructions on our Data Erasure Request form.

    I don’t want to get rid of my account so thanks. Seems a tame word but all the same. I just won’t participate.
