Expirator Automatically Setting Posts for Expiry?

    Hello,

    We’ve had instances where pages have been checked for expiry even when we did not check them, thus we’ve had pages shift to draft mode unexpectedly.

    Wondering if this is a reported bug or if we should be concerned about security?

    Hello,

    Just a quick amendment – it does seem that the 5.8.2 update has caused the expiry to be checked automatically/by default each time we edit a page. We have to manually uncheck it each time we save/publish our edits.

    Is there a fix/patch planned for this?

    2.6.3 update fixed it – thank you!

    For what it’s worth, I reported the same problem, and it’s still happening in 2.6.3 on two different websites. Doesn’t matter whether Auto-enable is disabled or disabled, when you go into edit mode, the box is checked to expire the same day. The only difference is that now it’s set at the current time instead of several hours later.

    @mstein63 Sorry, please open your own thread with specific details on your issue.

    That avoids confusing with with the OP’s issue, which he says was fixed with 2.6.3.
