• Hi,

It is not clear how the expiration of offers work.

In settings I see this, but I think the wording is bad and I do not understand what the number inserted in the field stands for:

    Default Expiration Date
    25
The number entered here will be used to automatically set the expiration date that many days in advance while accepting or countering an offer.

Can you please clarify this? Is it possible to set an offer to expire after a number of days?

    Thank you,
    Mikey

  • Hi There,
sorry for the confusion, we will definitely make corrections to that verbiage. You need to define the number of days you want the offer to expire.
If you set that to, let’s say, 10 days then after accepting the offer, that offer will be valid for 10 days from the date of acceptance and will automatically expire when the date reaches.

Hope that has cleared the confusion. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
    Thanks!

    Hi Olivier,

Ok, now I understand. So, you gave as an example the situation where an offer is accepted by the admin and the buyer would have that amount of time as set in settings to pay for the product.

How about the situations where an offer made by a buyer that I don’t respond to or perhaps a counter-offer made towards the buyer that he doesn’t respond to in that respective amount of time as set in settings? It applies here as well?

    Many thanks!

Yeah, this would work in both of those cases, as you can see the help text is saying the same

The number entered here will be used to automatically set the expiration date that many days in advance while accepting or countering an offer.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
    Thanks!
