Experiencing very slow page load

    Thank you for the great Sportspress plugin. I am using it for several years.
    This year I am experiencing an extremely slow sportspress website. I have measured an TTFB of up to 20 seconds on this page: https://www.deltameiden.nl/ochtend/
    I tried with all but Sportspress plugins disabled, but got no noticeable improvement.
    My suspicion is the database, so I’ve used Query Monitor to get some idea of what causes the slowliness.
    Most of the queries on the page are from sportspress, the page loads 10 league tables of 4 to 8 teams and 10 event lists with an average of 7 to 8 matches each.
    Many queries take about a quarter of a second an some almost a half. So, IMHO this might explain the high TTFB.
    I am wondering if these times used for sportspress queries are normal? I am stuck here and would really appreciate advice on how to proceed with this problem.
