Hi, I did not find an easy way to implement this yet.

For your site to continue work, at least for now it will probably be better to publish albums you with to post.

The reason for this is that there is no v2 client, and writing own can take some time, also I did not totally understand will token expire and what will happen then

Plublishing the albums has worked for me. Yay!
First I thought my whole Blog was broken …

I definitely should release next minor version with some cleanup and some kind of alert inside WordPress so people know what to do and how make things working again

I still had the error “String could not be parsed as XML”, even with public albums. After investigating the issue, I found out that the function file_get_contents do not work with https.

I have solved the issue by changing the file_get_contents functions to a cURL alternative:

Oh yes, that is yet another trouble with hosting on Windows.

Could you please verify is php_openssl.dll module enabled in your installation? Without it you will have many problems in future.

And yes you are correct about curl but it also depend on openssl library it is never ending fight between windows and linux worlds )
