Expanding menu (subcategory) item does not stay expanded

1) “Initial expansion” settings are available at the PRO version (https://docs.iks-menu.ru/#/faq?id=auto-open-submenu). With these settings, you can expand the currently viewed element.

2) To hide products go to “Data” tab and disable “Show posts” setting

Regarding item 2: If I click on https://westernex.com.au/wordpress/product-category/civil/ I still see the products which are sitting in the subcategories called EQUIPMENT, SAFETY and SURVEY. However the listing of these categories does not show.

We’ve just checked your site and found out, that “EQUIPMENT, SAFETY and SURVEY” not products, but categories:

https://westernex.com.au/wordpress/product-category/civil/equipment/ (note the “product-category” in the url)

Yes, this is what I am asking, yes, they are categories but when you click on the parent category CIVIL you only see the products NOT the subcategories. What we need when CIVIL is clicked on that only the subcategories “EQUIPMENT, SAFETY and SURVEY”?are shown.

@wowiwe, please give us more details with screenshots. The problem is not clear to us now.

Most likely a problem with your theme. Try asking your theme developers. This question is absolutely not about the Iks Menu ??

Thank you for your answer, I was in contact with the Divi developers and they say that this is not supported yet.

However, I could work around that if a category has subcategories that this top category could not be clicked on (meaning only the subcategories are clickable, so only products of those subcategories would show) …. is that possible?

Example: https://westernex.com.au/our-range … click on CIVIL then only the subcategories are opened on the menu..

You need a setting “Menu” > “Common” > “Use parent items as toggles (nested level)”
