I finally got the download to work & installed it. It looks mighty impressive. But I was stopped in my tracks by the notice that 20% of MY links will receive your AA ID. Yes, I understand why you’re doing this & you certainly have a right to do it. But I’ve never seen a WP plugin in which the author took a ‘cut’ out of the plugin user’s use of the plugin. If you asked me to make a donation in return for installing the plugin I’d prob. do that. But I just don’t like the idea of your AA ID in my links. It just strikes me as overly monetizing your efforts. But again, it’s your plugin & it’s your business to decide how you want to implement it.
It seems to me that you’re aiming your plugin at heavy commerical users & perhaps businesses. If that’s what I was & earned significant income off my site I might consider your plugin a wise business investment. But that’s not what I am. I’m a small non commerical site. I hardly earn any AA commissions at all since I’m promoting world music & books about politics, literature & the Mideast conflict. The Amazon links are really a sideline for my site.
I think I can live w. the partial functionality of Links Mgr & WP Amazon (though I would’ve liked to try CG Amazon since it does seem a lot more powerful).
