• When I used MT, I had where the extended entries and comments could be expanded on the main page. I have seen a hack for the extended entry using javascript that was written for b2 and really doesn’t seem to work right on my 4/18 nightly version of WP. Has anyone refined this hack, left better instructions so that it installs better, etc.

  • Are you using the newest stable version? My line number was different and I got an error…

a my hacks version would be nice, anyone know of one?

Thanks. the link you referenced is the one I was looking for when I added this to my site. I couldn’t find it, so I came up with my own. It works fine on my site with version 1.0.2. But as in the linked version, I too included my javascript in a separate file and added the script tag to reference it in my page header.

I used the wiki link and it works beautifully. Thanks!

I found the one at tensixteen.net works on my 1.02 ?? awesome. Thanks!
Wonder tho, when I click on “less,” I have to scroll back up to find where I was. Wonder if there is a workaround for this, other than removing the “less” link for visitors,,,

Yeah, I changed the Wiki a few weeks ago. Sorry! ?? Glad that it worked for y’all.

I’ve switched to WP beta version 1.2 and now I find that the code to change is no longer in the template-function.php file. As a matter of fact there are a whole bunch of template-function pages now and I’ve searched through a bunch and haven’t found the code to change in order to do the extended more thing (which I love to use, hate for another page to load just because my post is long).
Does anyone have a clue about how/where to change or add the code now with the new version?
    Thanks very much.
