• My drive-in movie theatre blog will have 50 categories with over 1,000 sub-categories.

That is a lot of items to scroll through when I write a new entry to the blog.

Is there a plugin, or other method, that will make the categories in the write page expandable?

That way I would be able to scroll down to the state name category, then click on it.

    Then select the town category.

At present I don’t see a way to do that.

Here is the site so far:

link to the part of the write page I am talking about, it is a small png:

    Thanks,

I have checked all of the plugins, and the plugin links, listed on the codex page for plugins.

Either I missed it, or such a plugin doesn’t exist.

Would wp-dtree work for this ?

edit, but I would hate to edit core files.

Since I have a test blog, I decided to try the following.

I added the code for a category listing from wp-dtree to the php file ‘edit-form-advanced’ but the only thing that showed up was the Categories header line and the ‘open all/close all’ text.

No way to click a category and add it to the post.

    Didn’t figure it would.

Any suggestions on how to ‘fold’ the category listing on the ‘add new’ page ?
