existing WP data

  • If I already have a WP instance, can I have all existing data migrated into the cloud with this plugin?

    Currently I am using a pluginb called “Amazon S3 and CloudFront” by Brad Touesnar, but it copies media data on upload and a copy remains on the origin server. It also does not copy existing data to the cloud so the plugin is only effective for media uploaded after the plugin was installed.

    I am running WP 3.5.2 Multisite.

    Is your plugin WP 3.6 ready?

    Hi tezza71,

    WP2Cloud currently doesn’t have a built-in automated way to migrate existing media to S3. For now, it is possible to use workaround, such as described in this post. We do plan to add migration functionality in the future.

    Is your plugin WP 3.6 ready?

    We did smoke testing for WP2Cloud with WP 3.6 and it seems to work. We’ll do comprehensive formal testing once WP 3.6 is generally available.
