• This is an awesome plugin and is so easy to use! Thank you for creating it.

I am, however, experiencing one issue:
I have a custom Affiliate Registration Form with custom fields that I basically use as an application. Before approving affiliates, I need to know certain things, like their URLs, how they found me, how they plan to promote my products, and more. These fields are set as required fields.

When someone signs up as a new affiliate, everything is fine, and I can see his/her answers from the Manage Affiliates page when I click on the Username. However, when a user has already signed up for an account when placing an order through the WooCommerce plugin then signs up as an affiliate, it seems they are somehow bypassing the Affiliate Registration form. This happens every time.

How is this possible? And how can I make sure that everyone who signs up as an affiliate completes the custom registration form?

I am using the free version. Do I need to upgrade to Pro or Enterprise for this to work?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hi,

Given that this request is over two months old I guess you’ve already found the answer. Anyhow, in case someone has the same question, the system will let existing users join the affiliate program, the difference is that they won’t have to sign up again but simply can log in to their account, go to the affiliates dashboard and then join. You can give this a try by using the page generator or simply place the appropriate shortcode on a page, e.g. use this https://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/shortcodes/dashboard/affiliates_dashboard/

    Cheers

    Hi, Kento.

Actually, I have not found the answer yet.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, but this does not solve the problem.

I was aware that existing users can join the affiliate program without signing up again, but that is where the problem lies.

I have an application process for affiliates, which includes required information I need to know before I can approve them. If their initial sign up is as an affiliate, then there is no problem. However, if they are an existing user, they bypass the affiliate sign up form, and I end up having to email them to ask for the additional information and wait for them to reply.

I want to avoid these additional steps by requiring all affiliates to sign up for the affiliate program regardless of whether or not they are existing users. Is this possible?

Thanks again, Kento, for your time. If you have (or anyone else has) any additional insight, I would love to hear it.
