    Hi Sayan Datta,

Such a great plugin and come with the function for existing user to set up SMS Login by using short code – [fbak-account-kit-associate]. However, I noticed that the function does not work well even I have already updated to the latest version.

For my case, the plugin somehow ignores the fact that the mobile number (say, 12345) has been tagged/associated to an existing accounts (say, Account A).
Instead, a new account (Account B) will be created when I login with this mobile number. Strangely, the plugin is able to recognise this number 12345 for the subsequent login to the new account Account B.

    Have you encountered similar issue?

    Regards,
    Chun Hong

    Hi Sayan Datta,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have tried both options ie “Keep Country Code” and “Remove Country Code”, neither of them work.

To troubleshoot the issue, I first disconnected the New Account, deleted the New Account, thereafter connected the mobile to the Existing Account; despite this, the plugin still recognise the mobile number as a brand new account (ie. New Account No.2 created instead of login to the Existing Account)

FYI, all these testing are done under the Incognito environment with Google Chrome and cookies cleared.

Hope you can find the solutions. Thanks

    Regards,
    Chun Hong

    Hi @siriusbeeco

Sorry for your inconvenience. Please update this plugin to the latest version and try again by deleting the existing users and then create a new user.

    Thanks!

    Hi @infosatech

Thanks for your advice. I guess this is the only way; hopefully @faizynadim will be happy with the solution as well. Will change the status to “Resolved”.

On a separate note, your prompt assistance certainly earn my respect although the plugin is a free! ??

    Thanks!
