    When an existing subscriber tries to subscribe again (i.e. because he forgot he’s already on the list), he will be redirected to the thank-you-page, but won’t get an email.

    Because he also doesn’t get a notification/warning that his emailaddress is already on our mailinglist, he will think something went wrong.

    The original Mailchimp form does have this notification. Is it possible to make the plugin do the same?

    Hi,
    Sorry that you are having this issue.

    Unfortunately, our plugin is currently not able to differentiate persons who have already subscribed to your mailing list.

    After a form is submitted our plugin communicates with your Email Provider API (eg. your MailChimp account) to send confirmation message to the subscriber’s email address. So due to this cut off point our plugin does not have permission to check your Mailing list in order to know whether the subscriber’s email is already within your mailing list.

    However, We will definitely look into ways of determining if an email has already been added to a mailing and we do apologize for any inconvenience experienced.
