If I switch over to Top 10 – Popular posts plugin, will the share count from my old plugin be lost or can I import it?

Do you have a way to export counts from the plugin you’re using?

You can import counts via a simple CSV file. My suggestion would be to export a file from the Tools > Import Export page, populate the CSV file and upload it for the counts to be imported. What you’ll need is the post IDs and the corresponding counts.

Thank so much for gettingback to me so quickly. I’ll have to figure out whether the old plugin has that functionality

Alternatively, you might want to check if you can export it from the database. Which plugin is this if I may ask?

Also, I’m releasing a fix later today which fixes the number of lines that can be imported. Right now, it is too low.

I’m currently using Grow Social by Mediavine: Top Shared Posts.

I just checked Grow Social. It looks like the plugin displays the posts that are shard the most.

Note that Top 10 tracks the number of hits to your posts and then allows you to display the top posts on the basis of those hits.

Always good to hear that. If you’re keen on tracking the number of views, please do give Top 10 a spin.
