I have seen this few times already. When after making some changes to my pages I request Google Indexing it says that this page is not on Google.

Few weeks ago I requested indexing of ALL my pages. After making few more changes, I have requested re-indexing just now – only to see that half of my pages are NOT on Google! including my homepage!!
What is going on?? Why do my pages keep dropping off Google search?? This explains the low numbers of clicks and visits from organic search – no wonder if no one can find me!

Your free SEO plugin I use doesn’t indicate any issues with my website. I understand that it submits the sitemap to Google – so what is going on here?

Yes, I have some media pages blocking bots for security, as they are not supposed to come up in searches being behind the paywall.

But I’m talking here about the standard pages you can see on my website.

I thought that your SEO plugin was supposed to facilitate Goggle indexing of my website, that’s why I have it installed.

    Could you please explain.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @magicpowers,

Thanks for reaching out about your page indexing. Here’s a screenshot of your homepage in search results – https://tinyurl.com/24opdf3k. What other URLs have you noticed are missing in search results? Though, Google reports this page is not on Google, what reason is given for it not been in Google? You could also provide the screenshot from Google Search Console.

    hi @maybellyne

    Thanks for your reply.

All my pages may be showing up in Google search now, after I requested reindexing. The current situation is not the issue here.

My question is how this could have happened in the first place.

As the SEO plugin developer, you are an expert on SEO, Google indexing etc. So I will break down my questions:

    • My understanding is that Yoast SEO plugin facilitates the website’s visibility and searchability on Google (and other search engines), which includes submitting the updated sitemaps to Google each time there are any changes to it – is it correct?
    • Has the Yoast SEO plugin I have installed on my website, failed in some in some way, while it didn’t alert me to any issues?
    • After the website with every page has been indexed and manually re-indexed, how is it possible that some of those pages simply drop off Google within few weeks?

So my question is not about any missing pages at present, but about your expert analysis and advice on this issue.

    That’s correct

Has the Yoast SEO plugin I have installed on my website, failed in some in some way, while it didn’t alert me to any issues?

Yoast doesn’t alert you of issues in that sense. That happens in Google Search Console

After the website with every page has been indexed and manually re-indexed, how is it possible that some of those pages simply drop off Google within few weeks?

Google Rankings depend on many factors. These factors include server load, page speed, cache configuration, mobile versions, responsiveness, and the site’s content, many falling outside the plugin’s scope.

    thanks for your reply.

Still, you continue to confuse Google indexing with Google ranking, I’m not sure why as these two separate issues and my question is NOT about Google ranking, so your comment that “Google ranking depends on many factors” is completely irrelevant to this conversation.
