existing buttons will be deprecated and removed in future releases

  • Hello, for PayPal Express, can you PLEASE keep the original buttons in future?
    Smart Payment Buttons? seems to take too much space (about 300kb?) which adds up to side speed specially on mobile.

  • I second that. Fine as it is with the option to have smart buttons or not. Unlike another vendor’s Paypal plugin.

    I’m so sorry for the inconvenience and delay in response due to weekend.

    300kb??? No that’s not the file size though and also the buttons are loaded from PayPal side. But if you want not to use smart button then you can use the old express checkout button by simply disabling it. But I’m curious to know how the size is calculated as 300kb? Also are you using the latest version of our plugin? We are always looking to improve the process at the best possible we can. We have improved the performance alot in past few releases and with the last update 1.5.3 I believe the speed and the styling is too much improved and loading time is excellent.

    Please make sure to be on the latest release and also it would be great if you can share some screenshots or a video cast of how you calculating the button size and where that sized button is loading?
