EXIF Disappeared

    I have been using hour plugin for a long time with no issue. I noticed today that now none of the exif data is showing up on any posts. I have not added any other new plugins recently. That said, I just noticed this today, so have no idea how long it has been happening.

    What method were you using to insert the EXIF? Automatic, shortcode, or function in theme file?

    I looked at a post and the EXIF is showing:

    Do you mean the EXIF is not showing for new posts?

    I was using automatic and have not changed anything. See: https://intheviewfinder.com/9228/scenes-from-a-new-york-crosswalk/ and for the last dozen or so post, it is not showing.

    I checked the image from the link you gave and noticed this in the image meta:
    > Optimized by JPEGmini 3.14.12.71901706 0x2a49d

    Did you optimize the image before uploading, or is that something WP Engine might have installed on their server?

    If you used an image optimizing tool before uploading, you have to make sure the settings for the tool are set to not strip EXIF data.

    Thanks, it was not JPEGmini. I had to replacde my laptop and reload all Adobe software right about the time these images stopped displaying data, so I checked the usual export setting I use for resizing, sharpening for web and metadata was set to none. That is the culprit. Mystery solved. Thank you!
