Exhibit and permissions

I know I have seen this problem before on here but I can’t find the thread or the answer now. What happens is exhibit works perfectly except it doesn’t set permissions for the original photo properly so when you click the thumb you just get the alt text. I have to use the my ftp and manually add the read permission to the photo.

How do I fix this?
