Is there a way to trigger the “Execute now” for a specific event from the Cron manager from outside of my wp-admin page? I have an event that sometimes stalls and hitting the Execute now link on that event in the plug in clears that up. I was wondering if there was a way to setup a link (or something like that) I can hit (even on a mobile device) which would give me the same result as hitting the Execute now link.

I’m not sure if that makes sense haha.

Hi, it does make sense, and I see what you’re trying to do, but that would be a security breach. Everyone could guess that URL and perform an attack on your website.

I recommend logging into your website’s admin and executing that from the admin panel.

I appreciate the reply and that makes sense. I guess in my head I kind of saw it as someone hitting the /wp-cron.php page from the front end side.

Anyway, your plugin helps a lot. Thanks!

That’s a bit different because you’re not exposing any events to the public. Yes, anyone can ping that endpoint, but it won’t trigger any job unless it’s due.

With a specific event execution, one would be able to execute the same event over and over which is a recipe for disaster and the easiest DoS attack ??

Yeah, that makes total sense. Thanks!
