Hi, in WWSGD settings, can you tell me what you have in the “Posts/Pages to Exclude” field?

I put the actual post link in and it does nothing? What should be in there?

It should be just the post ID. For example, to exclude the message from my post https://richardkmiller.com/1011/independently-strong I would simply put “1011” in that field.

It should be just the Post ID from the URL, e.g. 1034.

What if I want to exclude it on my homepage? I can’t find what the Post ID is for a homepage on my site.

Hi authorbruce, this isn’t currently possible, or at least not easily. However, one option, if you’re comfortable editing your template, is that you could select the option “Only where I use the <?php wwsgd_the_message(); ?>template tag” and then put that tag on the templates for every page except your home page.

I’ll make a note to add this as a feature. You’d like the message not to appear on the home page yet appear on individual posts, pages, category pages, and everything else?

Thanks for your reply, Richard. Yes, I’d like to exclude the WWSGD message from my homepage. As you can see on my site, https://www.brucebradley.com, my homepage is excerpts from recent posts. Ideally I’d like the WWSGD message to not appear on the homepage since it seems out of context on an except.

Thanks for considering to add this feature on your next update!

    Best regards,
    Bruce
