Excluding numbers next to comments

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to exclude the numbers next to individual comments (1,2,3,4,etc.)? Since I have my most recent comments configured to show at the top of the page, having the most recent comment appear as “#1” is a little confusing and I’d like to get rid of them completely.
