Excluding categories

Thanks for this wonderful plugin!
I am trying to exclude categories; the documentation says that I have to use the minus sign, for instance: [catlist id=1-2] or [catlist id=1+2-3] with the minus coming last. Unfortunately it does not work, no post is excluded.
Can you confirm that this is a bug? How can I solve it?
