Excluding a category from archives

Hi

I want to exclude the timeline category from my blog as I am using posts for company history as well as news. The ID is 42. I have downloaded the enhanced text widget but I cannot figure out the code to insert in this widget to list all blog archives except for ID=42 in my sidebar: https://coupage.jeanettekwok.com/news/
