• I have 2 categories (out of 12) excluded from being posted to twitter.

There seems to be two sets of settings. 1 for the twitter account and 1 for the plugin.

I have gone into the plugin settings an un-checked the categories I don’t want posted.

I attempt to do the same with the twitter settings but one of two things happens. When I save the settings they are reset to include “all” categories. Or they save correctly, but the box to choose those account settings is unchecked.

I can provide screenshots to the author if needed. I just don’t want to post them publicly.

EDIT: Is it possible the plugin has a limitation where it is unable to determine a post with an excluded category if that post has more than one category?

EDIT2: After trying to diagnose why images aren’t being posted to twitter, the plugin stopped posting the excluded categories to twitter. I haven’t made any changes to the excluded post settings. So I have no idea why it started working after posting 3 posts to twitter with excluded categories.

I have some custom post code that I believe is interfering with the plugin. I’ll have to do more investigation. Thanks for the plugin!

I’m still experiencing this issue and it’s also happening on the auto-posting. The main settings have the two categories I don’t want posted to twitter unchecked. The twitter account settings also have those two categories unchecked. Additionally I tried the “[Enabled/Disabled for Repost according to Categories/Tags/Taxonomies filters]”.

We did some changes to the “checkboxes” interface trying to make it less confusing. The attempt was unsuccessful. It’s still confusing, just for different people. We will redo it again in the next release.

Nothing was changed in the functionality. Plugin just showing any network with active categories or tags filters as “unchecked”.

Thanks for the confirmation about the confusing interface. I thought was just me.

However, what isn’t confusing is that I have categories “unchecked” that are still be auto-posted to twitter.

I’m assuming that it’s a function of the plugin looking at the post metadata vs following the settings of the plugin.

Otherwise, there’s something I’m missing as to why the plugin would be posting “unchecked” categories to twitter.
