Hi and TY for you plugin:

I got a “Search console” message (“Excluded by a “noindex” tag”), even though I checked that my cPanel is indexing my site and in my WordPress dashboard as well.

I uploaded my sitemaps to “Search console” and it says that everything is “Correct”.

I checked all the AOISEO settings and everything is correct.

The “robots.txt” in AOISEO it’s like this:

    User-agent: *

    Disallow: /wp-admin/

    Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    Sitemap: https://melodramaz.com/sitemap.xml

    Sitemap: https://melodramaz.com/sitemap.rss

I am indexing the content types “post” “page” “tv shows” “movies” “musics” “books” and the taxonomy “People”. I don’t want to index the others because they are for internal management of my site.

I look for the “robots.txt” in my “public_html”, but the file doesn’t exist. I only have the “. htaccess”, but it doesn’t have any rules, just the cPanel one.

I’m using the GeneratePress theme, and to display the “post” content, I use “ACF” and a “Reusable block”.

Please I need help because I can’t find where the problem is. It’s been 5 days since I put my site online in “Search console” and only the main “Home” page appears.

    Best regards,

    Dalia

For what URL is Google Search Console saying that it can’t index it because it found a noindex tag?

@daliasued can you share one or two example URLs so that we can investigate them?

Your URLs look fine indeed. I don’t see any noindex tags in your source code nor any noindex headers in the response.

Google Search Console is known to glitch out from time to time so what I would suggest is that you remove and then resubmit your sitemaps. That will hopefully trigger Google to recrawl your pages, but this may take some time unfortunately.

I see that Google has already indexed 250 pages of your site, all from different post types/taxonomies so there shouldn’t be any technical issues from preventing them to do so.

@onbiome our plugin noindexes all RSS feed pages by default because they offer no SEO value. We assume you wouldn’t want users to end up on your RSS feeds through search engine results. Feeds are typically meant to be consumed by RSS readers and other tools that need to keep track of updates to your site. If you’d like to index them for any reason, then you can remove the noindex under Search Appearance > Advanced > Global Robots Meta by unchecking the box for “No Index RSS Feeds”.
