Hi Jamel. Is it possible to exclude a defined term from being a tooltip on the page that actually describes the term? I see that on normal pages and posts, that I can exclude any or all keywords, but on the keyword post itself, the post that describes the term, there does not seem to be an option for doing so. Consequently, terms become tooltips on the page that defines themselves and looks slightly redundant.

See the referenced keyword page linked above for the term “satoshi” – I would prefer if the term “satoshi” on this same page is excluded from the tooltip.

    Thanks

    Hi,
It’s not allowed yet but it looks like an interesting option to be added that’s why I added this to the new revamp version issues here : https://github.com/lebleut/Tooltipy-OOP/issues/43

    Thanks

    Thanks Jamel.
I took a peek at your OOP version. Is that stable enough for me to try out?
I know you are looking for someone to help with your coding, and I wish I could, but I don’t know php nor css. ??

    Hi @axwellion

Yes that should be working fine now but I haven’t yet made it’s first release it’s just for testing for now

In fact I don’t need a developer to help but a tester to help me find bugs and improve it ??

I will be grateful if you can test some aspects and let me know about your feedback

    Many thanks,
    Jamel

Hi Jamel. I have been setting up a staging site to test the new OOP version. I have never created a staging site before, and so I had to work through a lot of errors, but I learned a lot also.

Now I am ready to test your new OOP version of plug in, but I am not sure what the process should be. Are there any instructions?
    What I did was:
    – Installed the new OOP and kept the previous version installed.
    – I set “get tooltips from: “tooltipy” (as was already set as default)
    – My old tooltipy dictionary is in “dictionary”
    – Then in the OOP version I pressed “Migrate old options”
    – Then I looked in “all tooltips” and it was empty.
    – In the OOP settings page, in the “glossary” tab, then only thing I saw was this warning: Warning: array_search() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in …/wp-content/plugins/tooltipy-OOP/admin/class-settings.php on line 476

Is there a step I missed? I am thinking of turning Debuggging on.

    Thanks

    Hi @axwellion

I appreciate your help, thank you so much

Normally when you activate the new version you need to deactivate Tooltipy

I will take all of this in consideration and let you know

    Thanks
