I have contacted Rankmaths and this is what they have advised.

    `Hello,

We don’t have a corresponding meta key in our plugin. We save the robots meta settings saved in a serialized key called rank_math_robots.

To use the method you shared you would need to parse this option and find all the entries that have the noindex in the option we mentioned.`

Would anyone be able to advise how to modify your code for Yoast in order for it to work with Rankmath?

    Hi @fabwintle,

the article you linked refers to SearchWP premium plugin.
If you have purchased SearchWP please open a support ticket from the plugin Support tab so we can help you from there.

If you are just using the SearchWP Live Ajax Search without the Premium plugin,
the search would be run by WordPress so you would need to customise the WordPress query to exclude the posts.

    Thanks
