Exclude product attribute from sidebar

Maybe I misunderstand your issue, but using the Filter by Attributes widget you can choose the attribute(s) you want to display and add the appropriate number of widgets for the attributes you want to show.

Imagine the situation where you have product attributes for sorting materials:

Filter by material:
– 100% cotton
– 100% polyester
– more cotton + something else
– more polyester + something else
– 10% polyester // hide this attribute
– 90% cotton // hide this attribute
– 50% polyester // hide this attribute
– 50% cotton // hide this attribute
– 30% polyester // hide this attribute
– 70% cotton // hide this attribute
– 20% polyester // hide this attribute
– 80% cotton // hide this attribute

How can i hide those unwanted options from the sidebar? I still need them on the product page, but in the sidebar they are useless.

@klikihak There is not a way to exclude certain terms under an attribute. If the term exists and is applied to at least one product, it will be included in the list for filtering purposes.

It is possible to copy the code for the widget, then add it in your own plugin, modifying it as needed.
