    Hi,

I noticed 2 weeks ago that the plugin didn’t exclude all categories I entered in the settings, I didn’t have time to look into it. Today I installed wp 4.2 and now it doesn’t exclude anything anymore. I tried reinstalling the plugin, without success. I also tried it with all other plugins disabled also no success. Am i overlooking something in the settings? Or can there be another problem causing this?

Thank you for pointing this out. 10.0.2 should fix this.

The update seems to changed something but the problem is not solved. If I excluce one category from not logged on visitors, it doens’t do anything. If I exclude more then one category my website doesn’t load anymore, I just get a blank page.

Second fix pushed – please let me know if this works or if this module is still an issue for you.

I installed the update but the problem is still the same, I was able to narrow it down so I only get a white page when excluding a tag or category from a not logged in visitor, a subscriber, a contributor or an author.

I’m testing this locally, and am seeing no errors or bad behavior. The plugin is functioning as it should, without white screen, and I am unable to reproduce what may be causing this for you.

Are you using a caching plugin that may be serving up a previously cached version of your site?

Without knowing what plugins and theme you are running, I can’t be sure that it isn’t a conflict with one of those.

White page may also be indicative of your installation running out of memory, which would fall on your host and not necessarily the plugin itself.

The site I’m running is an intranet site, which runs on a windows 2008 r2 server,I’m using Twenty Fourteen as a template and I’m not using any caching plugin. I also tried to deactivate all other plugins but still have the same problem.
I noticed that when I uninstall or the mom plugin or delete the mom folder in the wp plugin folder some settings from your plugin are saved somewhere else. Can you tell me where I can find theses settings? So I can try to completely remove your plugin and reinstall it.

All settings are saved in the options table prefixed with myoptionalmodules_. There is also an uninstall button.

There was, for a long period, an ‘upgrade’ script that was being used to transition people from previous versions to the current version – which uses different option names and code. That upgrade script has since been removed entirely.

I finally found some time to test some things. I uninstalled your plugin, checked my wp database option table and removed all settings with prefix myoptional modules_. I also found some settings with prefix MOM_ these where probably from an older version of you plugin, I removed these as well.
Then in installed MOM again, but I’m still having the same issue. I can exclude tags and categories from search, but when I try to exclude anything from not logged in users, I get a white page. I tried this with all other plugins disabled and I reinstalled wp completely.
Do you perhaps have suggestions for anything else I can try???
