    Out of the box, Smush doesn’t have this option as there is no way to tell Smush which image is used on pages and wich on posts.

    As a workaround, you may try changing the upload dir for post images. The Smush automatically optimizing images that are uploaded to the /uploads/ folder. So if a dir folder will be different images could be possible to optimize only when going from Smush > Directory Smush. Please see an example of code here:

    There is an option as well, that allows Ignoring images. Please go to Media Library and choose which images you wish for Smush to ignore. Please see this screenshot:

    The Ignore link is shown only for images that are not optimized yet.
