• First, I’d like to say this is a great plugin!

I’ve tried many, but being able to create a separate mobile cache sets this one apart.

A question, to which, the answer might help set this plugin further apart from the pack: on a site with many posts/pages, it seems to make sense to be able to exclude pages, or a range of pages (e.g. all pages starting with /articles) from the cache clean up event. This is especially true for pages that don’t change much on a site with thousands of pages. Helps to keep things quick for visitors of those pages.

    Thanks!

  • And why not do that with a long expiration date ? For example a year ?

Because the homepage and some other pages have new content every day, and the cache for those pages needs to be flushed each day. There is an “exclude page from cache” functionality on many plugins, but none have “exclude page from cache purge”. Probably for good reasons, but rebuilding the cache each day for content that will never change seems a waste of server resources.

    Not sure what you say.

The Home page IS automatically refreshed when new contennt is posted. and the page are flushed.
