    Hello.
Is it possible to exclude out of stock products from the filter? Even if the product is out of stock, the filter still shows the same count for certain attribute/category. Thanks

I am using settings “Hide out of stock items from the catalog”, so although the filter shows certain count, for example 4, when I use the filter searching I get only products that aren’t out of stock, for example 2.

    Hello

    Please try this options- advanced->Options – https://c2n.me/3XmP67c.png

    Thank you for your help.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. This option hides only products with catalog visibility set to hidden. It does not affect hidden out of stock products.

    Hello

If you set it – https://c2n.me/3XpL1Sy.png In the plugin check option – https://c2n.me/3XmP67c.png

    Or activate extension – https://c2n.me/3XpL9sv.png

    Hi.
I’ve just tested the plugin on fresh WP install with default theme and only with Woocommerce and Woof plugin activated and it just doesn’t work. The “listen product visibility” option doesn’t work for me. I even tried to set the product visibility manually for certain product but nothing changed. Also the extension doesn’t help. Thanks

Hello. I noticed an update was released. Unfortunately, it doesn’t solve “listen to visibility” bug ?? Is it going to be fixed in next release? Thanks

Re stock searches bringing back stock with zero qty.
I have the same problem and have had the problem for the last 2 1/2 years since we had the site developed. It’s a massive problem for us and is making a simple size search by drop down a massive problem for customers as it brings back old seasonal stock we do not have any more. By the time the customer does half a dozen searches only to find we have no stock they will catalogue the site as a waste of time. We sell underwear in women’s sizes. One product can therefore easily have 30+ sizes. Women therefore search by size.

Well, if your site has enough visitors and good results I guess it’ll be better to go with some kind of paid plugin?
Btw, I am using Woocommerce stock product attribute filter for now.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but I was under the impression plugins whatever shape or size etc. use the same basic pre-written API back-end processes. That’s why they are “plug ins” as they do not alter the basic core code – they just alter when queries are presented and what happens to the data afterwards. As far I can tell it’s the back-end API process i.e. the hard coded SQL and associated code etc. that is at fault not the front end.
I have to say coming from an software engineering IT background I find this system very frustrating – where you cannot give feedback to the actual developers. This system obviously does not work very well in this case as this bug has been outstanding for 2 1/2 years…..
At the moment I’m actually considering moving to another platform to fix this bug.

Also – why is this thread showing as resolved? As far as I can see reading it there was no resolution!

I am not sure, if I understand well but are you saying that this bug that the filter includes out of stock products will be present in all kinds of filter plugins? I am not an IT person but I don’t think it’s true.
For example, as I said, I am using Woocommerce stock attribute filter and this one behaves correctly.
