No, once a post falls of the front page, I generally don’t see it anymore –?I don’t get any notification on new replies and I usually don’t look at the second page. So starting a new thread was the right thing to do here.

Indeed, there was an extra > in the code as released. I’ve removed it now, so you can remove it from your site now, and the fix will remain after updates.
