    Hi,

    I’m running WordPress 5.9.2 with BackWPup Version 3.10.0 .

    Tab General → Job Tasks
This job is a …: File backup

    Archive Format: Tar GZip (.tar.gz)

Every time I run this Job it shows the following warnings:

[17-Mar-2022 11:26:09] WARNING: File name "wp-content/uploads/2008/05/uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten_paprika_ragout_611588cbf9ca779d81a4ca26cbcb8218_et2005041231-150x150.jpg" is too long to be saved correctly in TarGz archive!
[17-Mar-2022 11:26:10] WARNING: File name "wp-content/uploads/2008/05/uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten_paprika_ragout_611588cbf9ca779d81a4ca26cbcb8218_et2005041231-232x300.jpg" is too long to be saved correctly in TarGz archive!

Tab Files → Exclude from backup
    Exclude files/folders from backup

To solve this I tried to maintain the following one after each other but all result in the files are not ignored and Job Log shows the same warning :

    1. /internal-path/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten*
    2. wp-content/uploads/2008/05/uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten*
    3. uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten*
    4. uellteauberginenroellchenmittomaten_paprika_ragout_611588cbf9ca779d81a4ca26cbcb8218_et2005041231-150×150.jpg

The 4th end up in redirect to the main page. It seem that any security mechanism detected this as an false positive.

    Thank you in advance.

    hello @blueicehaller
BWU did not support regular expression for now, so the * will not work.
I think you can just ignore the warnings, or using the Zip backup instead ^^

OK I will give Zip one try.

Is there an possibility to find out if the files are in use or if I can delete/rename them?
    I can’t find old files I mentioned from 2008 in Media ( /wp-admin/upload.php ), the files I see there are from 2014-2022.

Separate file / folder name parts with a line-break or a comma. For example /logs/,.log,.tmp

Zip does not show the Warning. The compression is nearly the same than .tar.gz.
