Exclude Featured Video from native gallery

  • When I add a featured video to a post, it also shows up in the [ gallery ] – I have set up my gallery shortcodes to use the “exclude={}” parameter to exclude the featured image from the galleries but I can’t quite get my brain around how to exclude the video from the gallery without an attachment id.

    Any ideas at all to send me in the right direction here?

    Did you try manually removing the video thumbnail from the posts media and add a different images which is also part of the gallery as featured image? As long as you do not change the featured video again this should do the trick if I got you question right.
